I had to make the design exactly as the poster and therefor tweaked all the animations, but beside that the studio and film director immediately approved it. Also doesn't happen much here.
And with the pitch I only had the logo to work with, for the final I received an unapproved poster and from there created this.

The site is live at www.driveangry3d.com There's a small hick-up in the audio loop and it's Flash causing that because when I place a couple looped clips after each other in Flash it plays fine. One of the developers would fix it he said, but didn't had the time for it yet.

Not very often the final design is better than the pitch - at least not with our clients. Looks great. Love the flame integration. When does the site go live - I'd like to see the whole thing in action?

In the newest 3D action-adventure from the director of My Bloody Valentine, Drive Angry stars Nicolas Cage as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath a full moon.

For Comic Con 2010, Summit Entertainment wanted to have a teaser website for the movie Drive Angry. First only provided with a logo and later on with a poster I had to make an attractive and suitable animation and the website had to show photos and the story. The animation was looping at the end part.

You could use jquery to find out the position of the scroll bar, then animate the div containing the swf's y pos. Or pass the scroll bar's value to a swf and animate whatever you want inside the swf file.

When you scroll all the way to the bottom. The candle seems to move independantly of the bottom of the page.

How would you go about doing this?

I don't think Blue Host would engage in this sort of dispute. They would say: bring it to the court and if the court says we should take it down we will.
But you know that nothing would prevent this DB from going to another hosting company or calling himself for example "DueWednesday" and continue with stealing other people's work.

Should I spend any more time even thinking about him - I don't think so because what I would gain in the end with this quixotic struggle? o.k. the moron would take the site down but I would loose a lot of time/effort/nerves etc. Not worth it.
My new layout is I think better than this one anyway

The sad part however is that the guy who made the Wall of Shame site (for cases like this) has stopped updating it because he says his inbox contains 100+ messages and that he simply in not able to continue. So, as you see it's pretty wide spread.

my thought was never that I would actually end up in court but rather make the thief's life absolutely miserable. And as far as the time and counterclaim go, just send Blue host over a psd with the earliest date stamp you have and see what happens.

I don't think they are changing the page code anymore. I use the dynamic embed too and haven't had any problems with it. I think I recall reading somewhere that with the newer versions will just require updating the JS file.
